Head of Artificial Intelligence

Fully Remote (Company based in Newcastle)

Up to £120,000

Embark on a transformative journey with my client! They’re on the lookout for an accomplished Head of AI/ Staff level Data Scientist to spearhead their dynamic Artificial Intelligence Team. In this role, You’ll build and lead the team from scratch, you’ll be the architect of their AI strategy, crafting a world-class team, and seamlessly integrating AI into their product. 🚀 Key Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive AI strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Identify opportunities for AI innovation across products and services.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a team of AI professionals, fostering innovation and collaboration.
  • Develop training programs for continuous team enhancement.
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of impactful AI solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Engineering for seamless integration of AI technologies.
  • Align AI initiatives with broader company objectives through effective communication.
  • Ensure ethical AI application, adhering to legal regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop policies for managing AI ethics, privacy, and security concerns.

🌐 Essential Experience and Qualifications:

  • Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in AI/ML, with 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of building and leading successful AI teams.
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML algorithms, data modeling, and software development.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, and Java.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for cross-functional collaboration.
  • A robust portfolio of AI projects demonstrating innovation and business impact.
